Access2Sports remain undefeated after they paced past the Kensington & Chelsea Knights to win 70-29 and settle their place in the much anticipated CBL Playoff Final 2016.
The stars from Islington came out hot with sharpshooters’ Dreyshun Brown and Jason Prince hurting the Knights from outside as they continued to fire threes to gain a seven point lead (15-8) by the end of the first period.
Both Brown and Prince led all scorers, each finishing with 13 points, whilst big man, Rio Murray, dominated inside to ensure A2S carried their lead until the end of the half, finishing with an impressive 20 point cushion (37-17).
However, the Knights wouldn’t go down without a fight and so a great team effort from Ivan Ballestero and Samuel Basaye helped to keep the team’s head up in times of difficulty. Ivan finished with 13 points overall, and teaming up with Samuel in the fourth did help to slow down A2S, until the final minutes of the game.
As the clock counted down, Rio Murray completely took over the game, dominating inside and out to rack up 8 points which helped A2S close out the game and add another win to their flawless record.
Dreyshun Brown, said, “Today was a good win and only prepares us for the game we’ve been waiting for all season long. I’m so proud of my team as we’ll be going into the Finals the same way we hope to finish – undefeated!”
