HACKNEY JEDIS
HACKNEY JEDIS GIRLS U10
The Hackney Jedi’s Boys U10’s took on the Hackney Jedi’s Girls U10’s in a closely contested matchup that left parents from both teams on the edge of their seats. Despite both squads putting up a valiant effort, it was the Hackney Jedi’s Boys who came out on top, winning by a final score of 27-23.
From the opening tip-off, it was clear that both teams had come to play. The game was marked by intense defense and smart offensive plays from both sides, with each team taking turns to ‘show and prove’ they were worthy of the win. However, it was the Boy’s who pulled ahead in the final minutes of the game, behind the point guard skills of KJ Elliot-Parris (11 points) to seal the victory.
For the girls, Alyssa Castillano earned the Rising Star award for her outstanding play throughout the game. Castillano’s positive attitude and competitive spirit were on full display, as she made key plays on both ends of the court and showed clear potential as a rising star in within the division.
Overall, it was a well-played game by both teams, with parents and fans of both sides cheering on both Jedi’s teams from the sidelines. The Hackney Jedi’s club can be proud of producing two well-coached teams of young hoopers who will undoubtedly feature heavily across the London basketball landscape in the years to come.
