The Barnet East Giants stormed past the Harrow Blackhawks in a 37-16 win on Sunday 20th November.
Barnet’s Andrew Konadu-Boadi had a giant performance, scoring 16 points in total to help his team dominate the game and take the lead 19-2 by the end of the half. Konadu-Boadi looks to be one of the better athletes in the division this season and was quick to send notice to the rest of the league that he is undoubtedly a player to look out for in the games ahead.
All seemed to be going Barnet’s way until Harrow’s Shahzad Amiri and Amrel Munonyedi finally fought back for the Blackhawks, scoring a 10 points between them whilst limiting the Giants to just one point in the third quarter.
With the game in the balance, Konadu-Boadi took control of proceedings once again and gave Barnet a comfortable lead on a succession of piercing drives to the basket. Barnet’s David Oriakhi also added to the barrage with 9 points of his own ensure the Giants wound down the game with an impressive 21 point win.
