The Wandsworth Wolves took a bite out of the Haringey Sixers when they triumphed 37-28 last Sunday.

The game was exciting throughout as both teams found their rhythm early on and played great basketball to keep spectators entertained.

Wolves’s John Lainez (12) had fun going against Haringey’s Jerome Blake (13), with both players putting on a show for the growing crowd.  Lainez is proving to be one of the best guards in the CBL this year and plays with a level of composure the belies his years.  A tight handle and pass-first mentality make him undoubtedly one to watch as the season enters its most important phase.

The game was far from a 2 man show, however, as Wandsworth’s Tyler Morgan and Haringey’s Raydel Lussaney were both quick to join the party – scoring 7 points each for their teams, respectively, as the action flowed from end to end.

After a nail biting fourth quarter that saw both teams score 6 points each, Wolves’s Jermaine Thompson came through in the clutch as 4 of his 8 points ensured Wandsworth closed out the game successfully in the closing minutes of the fourth.
