Barnet East Giants’ flat out shooter, Asaru Williams-Henry, scored a high of 21 points to help this team win 39-10 over the Ealing Phoenicians on Sunday 6th March 2015 in the Community Basketball League.

Considering the amount of talent playing in under 12 division, every game is exciting and Barnet’s point guard put on a great performance throughout. Asaru came out firing in the first half, netting 8 points in the first period to enable Giants to take the lead 18-4 at the end of the first quarter.

Team mate Jay Das Neves had an impressive game, adding 10 points in the first half alone to allow Giants to gain a 20 point lead going into the half (26-6).

Now in the full swing of the game, Asaru refused to take his foot off the gas by knocking down a three seconds into the third quarter before adding a further 10 points to help Giants close out the game overall.

Game MVP, Asaru Williams-Henry, said, “I love playing basketball because it gives me the confidence that my hard work pays off. So even when I’m in school, I know that if I work hard, the results will follow and that’s a great feeling. I can’t wait for our next game!’
