Access2Sports stung COHENEL Warriors by one point to finish 31-30 in what may have been one of the most competitive games of Sunday 8th January.
Despite trailing behind for the majority of the game, A2S’s talented guard Samie Said came through in the clutch scoring 6 of his game high 15 points in the last 3 minutes of the game to grab the win by the tightest of margins.
Christian Arthur carried COHENEL with 13 points of his own and displayed lightening quick speed and flashes of dazzling ball handling skill which at times looked too hot for A2S to handle. Arthur will be a player to watch within the division as the season progresses and has the potential to be one of the next players to make the jump up to the next level in the near future.
However, Arthur’s exploits were not enough to beat a resilient A2S team who were well supported by solid performances from Angel Garcia (6 points), Tega Agbede (5 points), and Binesh Zanani (5 points) who also scored the final free throw that secured the Islington teams tight win.
