Access2Sports (A2S) Under 16s remain undefeated after picking up another win of 66-12 against the Hackney Jedis on Sunday.
The team from Islington put on a great show, banking 31 of their 66 points in the first quarter alone. Jason Prince came out firing by knocking down threes to rack up 11 points, followed by Xavier Rey-Edwards who added a further 9 to give their team a cushion going into the rest of the game.
A2S’ Dreyshun Brown led his team well, acting as the glue to make the right calls, and lock down his opponents whilst contribute 6 points to his team’s win.
Going into the second half, Hackney did well to come together and play great team basketball. However, with Rio-Dexter Murray-Webster dominating inside the paint and Jason Duran lighting it up from three, Hackney were not able to stop A2S who closed out the game with a confident victory.
Access2Sports’ game MVP, Dreyshun Brown, said, “It’s important to win as a team and everyone had a chance to shine today. We love playing basketball in the CBL because it motivates you to be your best. We’re proud to stand undefeated and look forward to the playoffs coming up.”
Both teams play in the Community Basketball League (CBL) run by the London School of Basketball (LSB) in partnership with Reach and Teach. For more information, please contact help@cblhoops.co.uk.
