Brent Ballers’ Christopher Allen and Daniel Amah proved unstoppable last weekend, knocking out the Kensington and Chelsea Knights by three points (36-33) to make the CBL Playoff Semi Final.
Christopher Allen was a strong force from the start as his hustle and energy kept his team in the game and ahead towards the end. He was aggressive attacking the basket and drew a good amount of fouls. The first quarter was very fast paced with Brent taking the early advantage with their point guard, Fabio Resende, dictating play and scoring.
The second period began with more dominance from Brent as big man, Daniel Amah, dominated inside but ended with a great push from the Knights to help give them a 1 point lead to go into the break.
As the game came to an end, the five on the court including Christopher Allen, Santigo Toranzo, Sheyi Agbaje, Fabio Resende, and Daniel Amah, picked up their defensive intensity and really started to help, plus rotate correctly to protect the paint, whilst also getting the rebounds to finish off their defensive stand.
This quarter final game was an exhibition of great basketball from the Knights who moved the ball well, and although Brent’s Daniel Amah stayed dominant with a great dunk and more solid inside play, Knights managed to hold on to their lead. However, the final stanza was all about Daniel Amah who continued his game long dominance finishing with points to regain the lead for Brent and close out the game successfully.
