The CBL is extremely proud to showcase the best in basketball talent across London, including the dynamic and extremely athletic Access2Sports (A2S) who continue to dominate their way through the league to secure yet another win of 53-46 over Kennington Generals on Sunday 28th February 2016.
The game took place at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre and the A2S under 25 team came to play with a team effort from Player-Coach Ibrahim Khalid, Alex Sappa and Pedro Hounam getting to the basket to be up 9-7 at the end of the first period.
Kennington knew they had a problem on their hands and so did well on the defensive end to bring the game back into their hands with a two point lead going into the half (19-21).
However, Kennington’s edge only seemed to make A2S play harder as Ibrahim and Juan Manning got hot in the third quarter by knocking down threes, followed by a slam dunk from both Sappa and Kayne Miller in the final minutes allowing the team from Camden to close out the game with a seven point cushion.
Access2Sports’, Juan Manning, led all scorers with a double digit of 14 points. He said, “That game was close throughout and so it was important for us to come away with the win. Playing basketball and being a part of the CBL helps you learn and so we’re going to work on our defence this week to get better for the next time that we play.”
