The RDF Eagles made a triumphant return to the CBL U16 Prime Division on Tuesday with a hard-fought 43-35 victory over the Ealing Supastars. Led by Nicolas Lopez’s impressive all-around performance of 11 points, 4 assists and 3 steals, the Eagles edged out their West London rivals. Kai Scott provided valuable scoring support with 7 points as RDF got contributions across the board.
However, this was no walk in the park. Supastars’ Jaykay Paige poured in a game-high 21 points in a heroic effort that just fell short. The teams went back and forth all game long with only a couple buckets separating them. But RDF’s three 3-pointers compared to Ealing’s one proved to be the decisive factor in the 8-point Eagles win.
Both teams look poised for strong seasons ahead after this competitive matchup. MVP honors go to Nicolas Lopez for leading the victorious Eagles in their successful return.
