Hackney Jedi’s girls look to extend their successful start to the season in this WCBL match up against A4U All-Stars.
Jedi’s currently sit joint first after their opening game win vs Enfield Scorpions, which they edged 36-33 behind an outstanding performance from rapidly emerging star of the game, Eva-Grace Yebila. Ybeila put in a dominant display in her first game of the season with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks, putting the whole league on notice that Hackney may well be a force to be reckoned with this season within the division.
A4U All-Stars are in full ‘development’ mode this season with many of last season’s players moving up to play National League, as per the club’s policy. Led by England U14 Girls Head Coach and community champion Ruth Eytle, A4U are committed to getting girls started in the game and developing their skills through to progression onto National League competency. With a new group of girls in the A4U cycle – this season will be about new beginnings, new potential and setting the foundations for the journey ahead with the England International head coach leading the way.
