Gintaras are off to a great start this season, pocketing another win after beating Kensington and Chelsea Knights 48-18 in the CBL U14 division.
Gintaras were unstoppable and their efficient style of play enabled them to storm into the lead and finish the first quarter 11-0.
Star player, Tadas Girnius, led all scorers with 15 points, whilst team mates’ Alonas Peciulis chipped in with 11 points, and Gytis Kondzeliauskas finished with 10.
Never ones to count out, the resilient Knights bounced back after a strong half-time talk with their coach Jon Mabinouri and Josh Cole. Brian Della led the charge, attacking the basket for 5 points personal, followed by Adam Beauayed’s 2 points to out play their opponents in the third.
Although Knights’ Justin Amoako, Francesco Isolani and Omari Pond-McKenzie pulled together to score 6 points combined, it wasn’t enough to overcome Gintaras whose efficiency, technical execution and speed proved to be too much for the Knights to handle.
