Haringey Hawks’ Cameron Morris meant business in his match up against Barnet Eagles as he dropped an impressive 29 points to ensure Hawks claimed their win 64-38.
The teams went head to head at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre where Haringey’s Morris and Andrew Mugerwa had a combined score of 13 points to put Hawks in front by nearly double going into the half (35-19).
Eagles did their best to lock down their opponents, but nothing could stop a great team effort from Hawks’ Wesley and Leslie Smith, Joseph Bautista and Montel Jordan, who all contributed 4 points in the final quarter to swoop away undefeated.
For his outstanding effort, Morris was named game MVP. He said, ‘It’s easy to get buckets when you play with a great team. Today’s success is down to great coaching and everyone staying focussed on what needs to happen on court.’
Both teams play in the The Community Basketball League (CBL) run by the London School of Basketball (LSB) in partnership with Reach and Teach. For more information, please contact lwilliams@reachandteach.co.uk
