Kennington Generals’ Nathan Gebrehiwet had a stand out performance last weekend in the CBL after finishing with a double digit score of 14 points in a one point win (29-28) over Kensington and Chelsea (K&C) Knights.

Gebrehiwet proved his skill set from the start of the game, playing great defence as well as attacking the basket to help Kennington lead 21-20 at the end of the half.

However, the Knights also came to play and managed to lock down Kennington in the third quarter.

West London’s, E Prieto, fought back by creating his own shot to net 6 points, putting the Knights in front 23-28.

But it all came down to the final quarter where Kennington picked up their defence to clamp every one of their opponents, stopping the Knights from getting to the basket at all. As well as great communication from Kennington’s Alex Samnick and Noah Coffi, Nathan didn’t back down and secured a crucial 6 points to close out the game by one.

Game MVP, Nathan, said, “We won! I think we played well and I like that my team helped me to score. I can’t wait to play a game like that again.’
