OFFICIAL LEAGUE SPONSOR
The London School of Basketball (LSB) are proud to support the Community Basketball League in providing exciting competitive playing opportunities for young ‘hoopers’ all across the capital.
The LSB have been directly responsible for introducing over 20,000 young Londoners to basketball over the past decade and continue to provide avenues into the game for new players of all ages, all across the city.
Originally created as a community basketball legacy program of the 2012 London Olympic games by founder Nhamo Shire, the LSB has developed into a self-sustainable basketball development agency which focuses on increasing basketball participation, improving player performance and facilitating more access to transformative opportunities while building sports and community infrastructure ‘for the good of the game’ throughout the process.
Endorsed by the former Mayor of London (and current Prime Minister, Boris Johnson), Sport England and founding partners Nike, the LSB have enjoyed support from an incredible team of NBA and NFL superstars who have been hosted in London at previous LSB events. Global icons such as the late Kobe Bryant (RIP), Lebron James, Scottie Pippen, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire, Ray Lewis and Jason Kidd have all shown their support to the LSB over the years, inspiring more young people to play more often, with the LSB providing the opportunities, access, and support to make it all happen.
The LSB now specialise in basketball coaching for players of all abilities through a quality-assured, expansive city-wide network of passionate coaches who are highly-motivated to teach the game to the next generation. We also partner with leading colleges across London in facilitating educational programs to develop new and improved coaches, stronger local community clubs and remain committed to increasing basketball participation and creating more opportunities for young Londoners to LEARN, PLAY, DEVELOP & PROGRESS within the game, all across the capital.
