London Pulse played all the right tunes in their season opening win game against the the North West JAZ in CBL under 16 boys action. Jumping out to a quick 10 point lead by the end of the first, the well-organised West Londoners put their transition game into full effect and never looked back. Crisp passing and clinical fast-breaks aplenty from the Pulse, put the JAZ in a tailspin from which they were unable to recover. Pulse eventually put the JAZ away for good, winning by a score of 51-19 on Sunday 20th November 2016.
Pulse head coach Matt Williams is a former pro player who was renowned for his shooting touch from beyond the arc seems as though he’s now passed that on to his new protege, starting guard Will White. White led all scorers with 20 points, pouring in jumpers from all angles, all game and was simply too much for the JAZ to handle in his impressive season debut. “Will puts the work in away from practise so his performance didn’t surprise me. We know he can shoot the ball too. What I’m looking at from him this season is to develop his leadership skills and continue to build on all parts of his game and I have no doubts that’s what will happen because he’s got such a good work ethic”, Williams said after the game.
