About Us
Greenwich Admirals Basketball club is a successful club based in Greenwich, London, England. As a club we currently cater for players from under 12 through to adult men and women.
The club was initially founded in the early 1980’s and have been successful constantly since then. Previously the club has played at a National level and in the past have even won the National Division 3 Championship (1990/91).
Greenwich Admirals have also had a great history in the National Founders Cup competing in 2 finals (1988 & 2007), winning once (1988).
The Admirals left the National League in 1996/96 and in more recent years won back-to-back championships and silverware in the MBA (Medway Basketball Association), this included winning the MBA League, MBA Cup and MBA Rosebowl Cup.
Currently Greenwich run 2 mens teams and run training sessions for women and junior men (U18) and also an U12’s boys and girls team.
The club’s current first team coach is Michael O’Hanlon, who is assisted by Brian Jones.
The club currently train and play at Thomas Tallis School, Kidrooke, Greenwich on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There is seating accommodation for fans to attend games and anyone wishing to observe please feel free to come along.
