About Us:
The RDF was established in 2010, quickly becoming well-known for our charitable purposes, such as volunteering in night shelters, feeding the homeless and generally striving to provide help and positivity throughout our community. Our founder, Lamar Roberts then had a vision to connect basketball, youth and the community together, using the sport as a vehicle to reach more young people but also as a tool to help teach life skills through positive participation.
As a former professional player, standing 6 feet and 9 inches tall, Lamar was quick to make a positive impression on all of the local schools across London and Essex and saw an opportunity to develop a basketball team in Dagenham.
Since inception the club has now grown to provide teams for u12, u14 & u18 boys teams. We are also currently developing a girls team, so if you know of any interested female players – send them our way!
