Trojans was set up by four basketball coaches that loved the game of basketball. The main reason for this was to fill the gap of our predecessor East London Royals, which was ran by the late great Humphrey Long. Trojans has been supported by Tower Hamlets Council and we work with them running basketball sessions during community days, sports days and park days, we thank Tower Hamlets for their continued support.
We aim to make basketball in the borough of Tower Hamlets more accessible for all. Trojans want to engage people into something positive, make basketball more accessible to all, to grow as a club and be sustainable.
We run a number of sessions which are open to boys, girls, women and men. These take place throughout the week.
We give all participants the opportunity to take part in a number of officiating and coaching course. We do this so they can develop and hopefully gain experience in the basketball world. So far we have supported a number of officials and coaches. Most recently we have began to run a number of women’s sessions and a women’s league, with all female officials and coaches. This has been running now for a number of years and continue to go from strength to strength.
We hope to continue to develop our club and we hope that you will support us in out mission.
