On Sunday 20th November 2016, the Wandsworth Wolves got their teeth stuck into CBL newcomers, the Right Development Foundation, in a convincing 35-10 victory in the CBL U14 boys division.  The Wolves were led in scoring by James Llamado, who dropped in 17 points in impressive fashion in leading his team to their first win of the new season.  Wandsworth had the upper hand on their East London adversaries, having played together last season, and it showed with a structured display of fast-break execution and half-court organisation from start to finish, in a well-deserved win.

However, all was not lost for the Right Development Foundation who showed tremendous spirit and and team unity for a team who have only been together for a few short months.  ‘RDF’ has been started by community ambassador Lamar Roberts who is committed to giving back to his local community, giving local youth a positive basketball outlet across the Dagenham and East London area.  There was plenty to be optimistic about for the well-supported East Londoner’s, who boast a full squad and some promising future talent in their ranks.  “It’s a blessing just to be able to give the young players an opportunity to compete as they have been looking forward to playing an organised game for weeks now” Roberts said.

CBL commissioner Nhamo Shire added: “I’m proud of what Lamar has been able to set up with the help of all the parents and support of his local community in such a short time and was definitely encouraged by what I saw out on the floor today.  The future looks good over in East London!”
